Robin Katcher is the Founder of Katcher Consulting and serves as a Senior Program Advisor and Associate Consultant with the Management Assistance Group (www.managmentassistance.org). Robin brings deep experience in social justice movements — as an organizer, trainer, educator, policy advocate, and board member — to her rigorous approach to building powerful organizations, leaders, and networks.

Robin has consulted with hundreds of individual organizations, provided leadership coaching, and supported the development of networks and collaborations. She has developed and led customized capacity-building and leadership development programs for cross-organizational and cross-movement cohorts. Robin has assisted social justice networks and organizations including: American Civil Liberties Union; Jobs with Justice; Land Trust Alliance; Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; National Immigration Forum; Diverse Elders Coalition; Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation's College Ready Communities Initiative; Equally Blessed Coalition; Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues; General Services Foundation, Coalition for Abortion Access and Reproductive Equity (CAARE); National People's Action, Citizen Action Wisconsin; Hope House; and Equality Maryland.

Robin co-creates her projects with leaders within client systems and with fellow consultants and partners. Her approach to the work is one of deep partnership with a commitment to holding space for diverse groups to deepen relationships, build from shared values, align, discuss honestly conflict and power, and ultimate make powerful contributions to social justice.

Robin is the former Director of the Management Assistance Group, where she was a full time employee and consultant in a variety of role for 16 years. Recognizing the important yet often undervalued role of networks in building strong social movements, Robin conducted cutting-edge research whose findings were published in Nonprofit Quarterly as “Unstill Waters: The Fluid Role of Networks in Social Movements” and she spearheaded MAG's Network Leadership Innovation Lab. She co-wrote Toward “Complex Adaptive Philanthropy”: Preliminary Learnings from the Network Leadership Innovation Lab as well as two academic chapters for OD Practitioner. She is also the Lead Author of MAG's publications, Boards Matter and Advancing Your Cause Through the People You Manage. Robin has served on advisory boards for the Nonprofit Quarterly and Independent Sector, and is a member of the Social Transformation Project's Art of Transformational Consulting Community of Practice. She is a frequent speaker, trainer and partner with others throughout the field.
