Tracy Sturdivant

Tracy has spent the last 20 years working to make democracy work of all. She is currently on the leadership team for the Make It Work Campaign. As a self-professed “one-woman coalition”, she's worked with many progressive organizations and philanthropic institutions dedicated to increasing the participation of women, people of color and youth in the civic process, including People for the American Way, The White House Project, the Center for Progressive Leadership, and Public Campaign. She was most recently at the helm of State Voices as Executive Director.

Tracy is very active in the national civic engagement community, serving on the boards of the Proteus Fund, the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, ProgressNow Education Fund, and the Center for Progressive Leadership. She also loves to travel and spend time with her family, more specifically, her 1 year-old nephew in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
